COLLEGE TRANSFERS
We understand that the transfer process can be difficult for students. Transfer students are those typically those with 12 or more credit hours (excluding high school students). This section designed to answer your questions and provide resources as you plan your transition.

Transfer Pathways
With the Tennessee Transfer programs, you can begin your college studies at a community college or similar two-year program and earn an associate degree, plus rest assured your credits will transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at any public university and many private universities in Tennessee.
Reverse Transfer Program
The Tennessee Reverse Transfer Program is a process that allows transfer students who are currently attending a four-year school to combine four-year college credits with community college credits to receive an associate degree.
Articulation Agreements
An articulation agreement is a formal agreement between two institutions for a specific or unique degree program. Here is a list of community colleges with articulation agreements.
Transfer Planning
Use the Transfer Checklist to understand your options and plan ahead for a smooth transfer process.
There are several four-year institutions of higher learning across the state of Tennessee that you can consider in your transfer journey. Check the list of transfer institutions to find course equivalencies and understand how credits will be applied toward a degree.
