The Tennessee Higher Education Commission has created a variety of free resources to help Tennessee schools educate their students about the benefits of postsecondary education. The resources in this section as designed to support the career and college exploration efforts of educators, school counselors, and college access professionals.

TN Path to College Events

Sponsored by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), Path to College Events are designed to help promote a college-going culture in elementary, middle, and high schools and provide increased insight to the college-going process.

TN Electronic Transcript Exchange

High schools and higher education institutions can send free electronic transcripts today using the Tennessee Electronic Transcript Exchange, in partnership with the National Student Clearinghouse.

FAST (Financial Aid System of Tennessee)

FAST, formerly known as e*GRandS, is the State of Tennessee’s financial aid system. FAST is your and your students’ one-stop-shop for applying and monitoring eligibility for Tennessee financial aid. 

Adulting 101

Adulting 101 is a career simulation designed to help students make budgeting decisions, understand the connection between higher education and career advancement, and experience the consequences and rewards of “adulting.”

College Fit Game

For use with middle school and high school students, the College Fit Game is an interactive activity designed to teach students the importance of considering a variety of academic, social, and financial factors when selecting a college.

The Next Guides

Whether a student plans to enroll in a technical school, community college or university, join the military, or enter the workforce, the Next Guides contain resources that can help make those postsecondary goals a reality.

Student Success Course

The Student Success Course is designed to be a hybrid course—there are lessons with video content and assignments for students to complete in a computer lab as well as lessons for teachers to use in the traditional classroom setting. The course helps students gain the skills and information needed to enroll and succeed in higher education.

Webinars

The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) and the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) host webinars throughout the school year to educate school personnel on topics related to college access and financial aid.
