CAMPUS SUMMARY
Tusculum's Northeast Tennessee location is one the most scenic and historic in the nation. Located on a wooded 140-acre campus, Tusculum College sits at the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Only an hour away from Knoxville, Gatlinburg, and Ashville, North Carolina, the campus is situated perfectly for any activities that interest you. Tusculum College is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and is Tennessee's first college. The city of Greeneville and Greene County have a combined population of 65,000.

Tusculum enrolls a total of 1500 students, including 600 in our residential college. Currently, our students represent 22 states and 8 foreign countries.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Our distinctive curriculum, called the Civic Arts, prepares students to be effective citizens, recognizing that they will need practical wisdom to participate in their community and enrich their lifetime of experiences. The civic arts program encompasses four main components: the focused calendar, major/commons courses, competencies and service learning projects.

At Tusculum College true learning begins when you have the opportunity to focus on one subject at a time. Tusculum College follows a "focused calendar" curriculum, which allows students to concentrate on only one course for three-and-one-half weeks eliminating the distraction of having to prepare for other courses at the same time. The focused calendar allows students to connect the subject matter of the course to their lives and the life of the community more directly than is normally possible through field trips, laboratory work, and many other out-of-classroom experiences
