The UT Knoxville campus is located in the scenic rolling hills of the Tennessee River valley in eastern Tennessee, less than an hour drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The 550 acre, pedestrian friendly campus has free shuttle buses and a trolley system to connect with events in downtown Knoxville.
Founded as Blount College in 1792, UT Knoxville is recognized as a national and world leader in providing high quality academic programs to more than 25,000 students representing all 50 states and more than 100 foreign countries each year. More than 400 student organizations, including more than 100 professional and academic honoraries, allow students to customize their collegiate experience.
