| CAMPUS SUMMARY |
 |
Tennessee Tech University's mission is to broaden and enhance its unique role as the state's only technological university through strong emphasis on and support of its academic programs in engineering and basic science and through expansion of its research activities in these and related areas. TTU is located in Cookeville, a college town of about 25,000 residents, nestled in some of Tennessee's most beautiful scenery. But we're only a little more than an hour from Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. In the Cookeville area, you can expect to find some of the friendliest people you've ever met, not to mention breathtaking terrain, including waterfalls, lakes and rivers, and rolling hills. |

Name a major, any major, and you'll find award-winning students. Whether it's in national, state or regional competitions, our students have taken home top prizes for their work in engineering, business, computer science, agriculture, human ecology, the natural sciences, education, debate, music, fine art and more. All that's in addition to awards for outstanding community service, national fellowships for graduate studies and annual rankings putting TTU students at the top of their fields. At TTU, you'll build strong relationships with the faculty who will guide you throughout your college studies and beyond. With an average class size of only 26, and a faculty member assigned to every student, you're guaranteed plenty of personal attention. While all our professors keep regular weekly office hours, many also encourage on-line interaction. |
